Ex-Skye Bank Chairman, Tunde Ayeni Arrested By EFCC For Corruption


Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have reportedly arrested a former chairman of Skye Bank, Tunde Ayeni, over alleged bribery.
Ayeni was said to have bribed a former minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Bala Mohammed, to acquire 54 plots of land in Abuja.
According to SaharaReporters which cited EFCC sources, the accused was arrested on Thursday, November 24, and still in detention because he initially refused to cooperate with the Commission.
Ayeni also allegedly partook in several other deals involving former First Lady Patience Jonathan and a former head of state, Abdulsalami Abubakar, who co-owns a telecommunications company with the former banker.
The former banking executive also allegedly had several shoddy deals with a former First Lady, Patience Jonathan.
