Watch How Dr. Ben Carson Responds When Asked About Black Lives Matter Protesters: ‘The Main Thing That I Would Say…’

Republican presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson delivered a message Wednesday aimed at those protesting in Ferguson, Missouri, in addition to the Black Lives Matter movement as a whole.

Speaking to TheBlaze after an event in New York City, Carson said of course black lives matter — which is why officials need to usher in policies that end the high number of homicides among black youth.

“The main thing I would say is make sure to pay attention to who you are listening to and use that brain God gave you,” he said. “And let’s concentrate using our energy to figure out ways to figure out ways we can stop the [inaudible].”

“Do black lives matter? Of course they do, and the fact of the matter is that the most likely cause of death for a young black male is homicide,” the Republican presidential candidate continued. “Let’s look at that and figure out what we can do to stop that.”
