Peaches Geldof Found Dead At 25
Writer and presenter Peaches Geldof was found dead Monday (April 7) of "unexplained and sudden" causes, according to police. BBC reports that Geldof was discovered after the police were called to an address in England close to Wrotham, Kent, after receiving a report "of concern for the welfare of a woman." Geldof, 25, was pronounced dead by South East Coast Ambulance Service, her death confirmed to the BBC by her father, musician Bob Geldof. "We are beyond pain," he said. "She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us.... What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable?" "My beloved wife Peaches was adored by myself and her two sons," her husband, Thomas Cohen, said in a statement. "I shall bring them up with their mother in their hearts everyday. We shall love her forever." Geldof had two sons, Astala and Phaedra, and is survived by her husband, father, sisters Fifi Trixibelle and Pixie, and half-sister, Tiger Lily Hutchence Geldof. Geldof left home at 16, and has spent the last near-decade writing for the likes of Elle magazine, the Telegraph and the Guardian, as well as TV Shows like "OMG! with Peaches Geldof." She also worked as a model. The writer posted the below picture on Instagram Sunday, featuring a young Geldof and her mom Paula Yates, who died in 2000 of a drug overdose. We have reached out to Geldof's camp for comment.
