Nigerian Students meet to discus ASUU Strike

Thousands of Nigerian students will be meeting in Abuja, Lagos and Port Harcourt on Wednesday, 30th October to
discus their future given the endless ASUU Strike. This motion is endorsed by thousands of Nigerian students who are tired of the "politics" played by the Federal Government and Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and "obviously encouraged" by National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) officials. According to this fraction of Nigerian Students, ASUU do not have the interest of students at heart otherwise they will indulge the students before embarking on any strike. The Federal Government also are insensitive to the plight of students to have stalled for so long. The venues of the meetings are: Abuja - Old Parade ground, Area 8, Garki; Lagos - Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos Island; Port Harcourt - The park opposite Air force junction, near Happy Bite. The time is 10am prompt. All Nigerian students, well meaning persons from the public, media and NGOs are welcome. There will be no violence, it will be an elite meeting to foster unity and coherence amongst students. The strike must end.
