COPS SHOOT CALI BOY SEVEN TIMES IN 10 SECONDS

Thirteen-year-old California resident, Andy Lopez Cruz, lost his life on Tuesday after police shot him several times in just a matter of seconds.

According to Fox News Latino, Cruz was carrying what cops thought was an assault rifle, but the weapon actually turned out to be a toy.

"People have to do something," said Elbert Howard, a founding member of the Police Accountability Clinic and Helpline of Sonoma County. "He's a child, and he had a toy. I see that as an overreaction to shoot him down."

An autopsy report revealed that the 13-year-old boy was struck down by seven bullets and two of these wounds proved to be fatal.

"We want justice," the boy's father, Rodrigo Lopez, said. "I don't want the same thing to happen to other families."

Officers involved in the shooting have been placed on administrative leave and the incident is currently under investigation.
