FG INTRODUCES 1-6-3-3-4 EDUCTIONAL SYSTEM

donmanuel Sat 10 Aug 2013 news came to use this morning that the federal government has once again dropped the 9-3-4 education structure which they said was the best,for a new one which is 1-6-3-3-4 structure. the minister of education,prof Ruqquayat rufai while announcing the imminent change said the proposed structure would be a remodification of the 9-3-4 system of education which came into being in 2009 only when the old 6-3-3-4 was dropped saying the purpose is to include a 1 year childhood education for 5year old nigerians then 6year component will be for primary education while the other three,three and four years would be for junior and senior secondary schools and tertiary institution respectively. in the late 70s and 80s it was 6-5-4 system that was in place,again a shift in policy later came up and it gave birth to higher school certificate, which gave another 2 year gap of learning after secondary school before they proceeded to university.later they had 6-3-3-4 which led to the present 9-3-4 system of education. government claim that the modification are all aimed at giving nigerian st
