ASUU strike: FG, lecturers meet, reach no resolution

The meeting between the federal government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities which took place today in Abuja ended in a deadlock as both sides failed to reach an agre
ement. The meeting which held at the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Anyim Pius Anyim was attended by the Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala; Minister of Labour, Emeka Worgu; Minister of Education, Rukayyatu Rufai; and the Benue State Governor and head of the government’s delegation, Gabriel Suswam. The President of ASUU, Nasiru Fagge, also led a high-powered delegation to the meeting which reportedly lasted for over four hours.
